Las Vegas News — The annual Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching. On Monday, October 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., One APIA Nevada, in collaboration with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Nevada Chinese Association (NCA), will host the “Moonlit Red Rock Night – Mid-Autumn Festival” at the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area Visitor Center. The event invites the Southern Nevada community to celebrate this holiday, a symbol of reunion and cultural heritage.
Organizers noted that the evening will begin at the Red Rock Canyon outdoor amphitheater. As the full moon rises over the canyon, guests will enjoy traditional Chinese string music, blending natural beauty with musical elegance. Each attendee will also receive a handcrafted mooncake from a local bakery, leaving a sweet imprint of the season. Following the program, visitors may move to a designated viewing point to admire the radiant moon and create lasting memories.
Registration & Guidelines: Due to limited space, all attendees must register online in advance and present a confirmation email for entry. Seating will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Only drinking water will be available on site; aside from mooncakes, no additional food will be provided. Guests are encouraged to bring personal necessities, folding chairs, or telescopes for the best viewing experience.
The organizers emphasized that this celebration is more than a festive gathering: “It is also a dialogue with nature and a resonance with culture. Through this event, we hope to strengthen community bonds and express gratitude to the land that makes this starlit celebration possible.”
