II. Flying Tigers Memorial Sites in China

1. Kunming Flying Tigers Memorial 
• Location: Kunming, Yunnan Province 
• Description: Located in a former Chinese Air Force academy, the museum holds a dedicated Flying Tigers exhibit with extensive historical archives, artifacts, and aircraft replicas. 
• Significance: As a major base for the Flying Tigers in China, Kunming was a hub for U.S.-China military cooperation. 

2. Chongqing Flying Tigers Museum
• Location: Yuzhong District, Chongqing 
• Description: Displays a large collection of historical photos, documents, and artifacts related to the Flying Tigers, including personal items of General Chennault, flight gear, and medals.
• Significance: As wartime capital, Chongqing was crucial in air defense and showcases the depth of civilian and military cooperation.

3. Huaihua Flying Tigers Memorial 
• Location: Zhijiang, Huaihua City, Hunan Province 
• Description: Displays include pilot biographies, Allied supply drops, and historical artifacts. Zhijiang was a key transfer base for Allied aircraft. 
• Significance: Near the historic WWII airfield, this memorial integrates local history into broader international efforts.

4. Liuzhou Flying Tigers Memorial Park
• Location: Liuzhou, Guangxi 
• Description: It consists of three buildings: the Flying Tigers Memorial Hall, the former Air Force Command Tower, and the former Sino-American Air Force Joint Squadron Club. It uses multimedia and historical documents to recreate the Flying Tigers’ operations in the region. 
• Significance: Provides visibility to the Flying Tigers’ defense efforts in southern China.
